Studio Above&Below presents a workshop around the use of Bioacoustics and the importance of augmenting communication between other species when creating worlds, through finding support networks using tools including Games Engines and AI classification tools.
The workshop will be a one-day event, consisting of an artist talk, showcasing elements from the development of their EMAP residency project with iMAL and an introduction to some of the tools and thinking produced within the residency research period.
The Cookery is iMAL´s new annual training and professionalisation programme, which will debut its first edition between 23 and 29 January 2023.
The Cookery programme includes workshops, conferences, round tables, presentations and performances on the most emerging artistic practices -from creative coding, audiovisual and sound art practices to those linked to extended realities, artificial intelligence, design, fashion or architecture. The programme seeks to facilitate the meeting and production of experiences and knowledge through dialogue and interaction between artists, scientists, technologists and citizens.
