Karolina Żyniewicz's work integrates anthropology, art and biology, using a transdisciplinary approach to examine the material traces of the pandemic.

The EMAP artist-in-residence at Kontejner uses collected medical masks and conducts interviews that record personal experiences of the pandemic and analyzes the masks according to standard laboratory protocols. She transforms these findings into artistic expressions, including written texts, videos, photographs and biological samples, and the entire work will culminate in a performative exhibition.

The audience will be able to find out more about Karolina Żyniewicz's work during her exhibition from 17 - 30 September 2024 and especially on 26 September at 7 p.m., when an artist talk will take place in KONTEJNER.
