Crypto, Art and Climate EMAP group show @ RIXC Art Science Festival 2023

This year's RIXC Art and Science Festival, themed Crypto, Art and Climate, will take place in Riga and online from 20 - 22 September 2023, discussing how new digital developments such as Web 3.0, blockchain and artificial intelligence are currently changing the landscape of art and culture, and how artists using these new technologies in their work address major contemporary challenges such as climate change.

The festival program includes an exhibition at the National Library of Latvia, curated by Rasa Smite, Raitis Smits (RIXC) and featuring artworks by international and local artists, as well as by EMAP artists.

In addition to the exhibition, there will be an extensive conference programme: EMAP manager Peter Zorn will moderate the panel "Artificial Intelligence and Future of Media Art", which will include EMAP artists Manuel Gollob and Nico Anguli.

The artists in the exhibition:
Nico Angiuli & Katerina El Raheb, Emanuel Gollob, Nicolas Gourault, Carolin Liebl & Nikolas Schmid-Pfähler, Rosa Menkman, Joana Moll, Paula Nishijima, Jurģis Peters, Anna Ridler, Līga Velina, Ieva Viksne, Zane Zelmene.

The festival will take place from 20-22 September 2023 in Riga and online (in zoom), the exhibition will run until 11 November.
The panel Artificial Intelligence and Future of Media Art will take place on 20 September, 12 - 13:15.
