Lukas Truniger, in collaboration with Bruce Yoder, presents Implausible Rainbows: An Exercise in Skyscaping (2024) at the Maintenant Festival 2026 in Rennes. The work was developed during a 2024 EMAP research and production residency at LABoral Centro de Arte y Creación Industrial. The presentation is supported through an EMAP Partner Presentation Grant (PPG).

The light and sound installation uses focused light sources, optical systems and spatialised sound to create synthetic rainbows that slowly move and transform through the exhibition space. In doing so, the work reflects on scientific observation, aesthetic fascination and the human desire to reproduce or control natural phenomena.
