A Helsinki-based non-profit organisation founded in 2000, M-Cult works to develop and promote new forms of media art and digital culture, with a focus on cultural, social and environmental issues. M-Cult specialises in urban/public and collaborative media art and environmental communal activities. M-Cult supports artists in their creative work focused on socially engaged/technically experimental projects and practices. Other activities include bringing together international partner networks and local groups and communities, engaging in cultural policy development and documentation /archival processes of media art as a member of the Finnish Media Art Network.
