Sound artist and archivist beepblip (Ida Hiršenfelder) has begun her EMAP residency at CIKE – Creative Industry Košice.
Her practice centres on sound ecology and spatialisation, creating psychogeographical spatial compositions and multi-sensory experiences. She addresses themes such as the agency of non-organic others, non-human animal languages and listening to the inaudible, working with code, electronics, analogue synths and field recordings. Hiršenfelder is also part of the Jata C group for bioacoustics and sound ecologies, the Clockwork Voltage community for modular synthesis and CENSE – Central European Network for Sonic Ecologies. She completed her Master of Sonology at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague in 2023.
