Proposing a Multiple Worlds[1] meeting, in order to take this step aside, requires the ability to develop a sense of weaving, of the link between elements, not necessarily disparate but arrived at by force of circumstance. These elements are explored by sensibilities mobilised to make people see and hear. These are the sensibilities of authors and researchers.

It is then a question of taking a position, of listening to the voices of the imaginary, of crossing multiple fields: artistic, scientific, societal, social. Fields of language. Fields of life too.

These fields, which abound, play on the intersection between ancient and contemporary techniques and technologies (from writing to virtual technologies, via electronic and film-based systems), between scientific research (philosophy, sociology and biology) and art research (indefinable).

These fields embody a space where the power of the imagination can be fully exercised, reshuffle the cards of creation and give rise to thinking with the sciences. The space-time of Multiple Worlds is conducive to speculation in order to think of a desirable future and a habitable multi-species environment. It is in itself political because it is collective. It is open to incongruous dialogues that imply a critical sense. It appeals to curiosity and a sensitivity to the strange, the monstrous, the marvellous, the margins, science fiction and radicalism.

In concrete terms, this space-time is a composition made up of :

  exhibitions,
  concerts,
  conferences,
  meetings with artists and authors,
  film screenings,
  shared meals,
  multiple times of exchange,
  online content proposals,
  back and forth between "real" and "virtual",
  back and forth between documented worlds and speculative fictions
  frank discussions
  debates

In 2022, the Monde-s Multiple-s meeting is built from a selection of works from artists' residencies deployed in Europe thanks to a tentacular programme: "EMAP" (European Media Art Platfrom - emare.eu[2]). It is enriched by a series of relationships established with other artists, authors and collective creations.
