Loïs Soleil @ werkleitz

Meet Loïs Soleil, the EMAP resident artist at @werkleitz.

Loïs Soleil is a Franco-Scottish artist based in Brussels, working across digital art, video, performance, installation, poetry and sound. Her practice connects the emotional and the political through intersectional cyber- and techno-feminist perspectives, exploring identity, desire, intimacy and the structures shaping our digital lives. In 2025, her work received an Honorary Mention at the Prix Ars Electronica.

During her EMAP residency at Werkleitz, Loïs is developing AI Love Bots. Based on interviews with people who have formed romantic or deep emotional relationships with AI companions, the project explores how technology and algorithms shape contemporary forms of intimacy, attachment and desire.

We’re looking forward to following the development of her work throughout the residency.
