The Empathy Swarm project by EMAP artists Adam Donovan and Katrin Hochschuh will be featured at this year's WIP Arts & Technology Festival, in Nicosia, Cyprus. This autonomous system of robots acts as a human-machine interface, creating a bio-feedback loop by reacting to human emotions. The swarm balances individual and collective needs through movement, exploring the interdependence between humans and machines. Aligned with the festival's theme, "de____cloud," Empathy Swarm challenges the boundaries between natural and artificial life, offering a glimpse into future human-technology coexistence.
WIP Arts & Technology Festival 2024 takes place from 18 - 27 October 2024, at CYENS in Nicosia.
The presentation is supported by the EMAP partner presentation grant.
