EMAP Capacity Building Workshop "Production road map in artwork development" @ Kersnikova Institute

December 11, 2024, 4:00 pm - December 11, 2024, 6:00 pm

In complex artistic projects involving collaborations between artists, researchers, scientists, and engineers, a producer plays a crucial role in coordinating the work of all participants, managing logistical needs, and aligning project development with the adopted curatorial concept and agreed-upon budget. To ensure the necessary artistic freedom for project development while maintaining a productive atmosphere within a transdisciplinary team, it is essential to create a plan that maps out the production steps in advance, while also allowing for deviations from that plan if they benefit the overall quality of the artistic project.

In our online presentation and EMAP Capacity Building Workshop, we will demonstrate how to plan the development of an artistic project, how to break it down into individual phases where we can verify the planned vectors, and how to adjust expectations upon project completion to achieve the desired final results. Effective project planning can significantly facilitate the development of an artwork and simultaneously build a team of collaborators and producers capable of taking artistic potential to even greater heights in future projects.

The workshop takes place on 11 December 2024, 16:00 – 18:00 (CET) online.
