Artist residency work Kissing Data Symphony by Karen Lancel and Hermen Maat, conceived as part of EMAP (2018), is presented under the title E.E.G. Kiss within the exhibition Silver Egg at ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe. The work explores intimacy and neurotechnology through EEG-based systems that translate biometric signals of proximity into audiovisual feedback structures.

The exhibition Silver Egg engages Eros as a driving force of cultural evolution and renewal, and proposes an erotic mode of relating to the world. It asks how artistic media and forms of perception can respond to the desires and deficiencies of the present, and how intensity and presence are generated through aesthetic experience.
