EMAP supports the call to restore Creative Europe funding in the 2027 EU budget. The Council’s proposed cuts of €31.6 million come at a moment when the EU itself is stressing the importance of cultural cooperation, artistic freedom and resilient cultural sectors across Europe.
For us, this is a question of political consistency: ambitions for a strong and diverse European cultural landscape need to be matched by the resources that make cross-border cooperation possible. We stand with Culture Action Europe and the organisations calling on Member States to protect — and strengthen — Creative Europe.
