A route through the forests of Ladines in the Redes Natural Park was guided by Paula Nishijima, artist in residence at LABoral. The artist presented her project Plug-in Habitat and her two-week process of inspiration and research in the Asturian mountains.
Accompanied by architect Marlén López, from Laboratorio Biomimético and university professor and forest expert Jose Roces, the participants enjoyed an activity in nature that explores the possibilities of the connection between art and science and highlights the value of the natural heritage of the territory.
They also visited the Laboratorio biomimético facilities where Paula Nishijima presented the progress of her project and Marlén López spoke about bio-inspiration as a starting point to create possible ideas for design and artistic creation.
