Within his grant and stay at Werkleitz he has produces the work Man Machine 2.0 which is going to be part of the exhibition at Werkleitz Festival 2018 Holen und Bringen from 20.Oct–4.Nov 2018.

Doug Fishbone on his research (excerpt from the festival catalogue):

"I am very fascinated by this issue of portable internet technology. I have been watching a number of older crime shows recently with my wife, and it is amazing to think that, if only the cop in some of the storylines had a cell phone, the whole thing would play out differently. Now that everyone has them, this changes the very nature of which stories can be written, as those older stories are simply not plausible anymore. If you are being chased by a maniac in the woods, you can simply call the police, or perhaps tweet to your numerous followers that someone is trying to kill and eat you, or whatever the maniac is trying to do. For someone of my vintage, it is an amazing development to have witnessed. I still remember getting my first Walkman as a kid, and the way it allowed one to vanish into one's own closed-off little realm."
