Éva B. Csonka @ iMAL

MEET Éva B. Csonka, EMAP 2026 artist-in-residence at iMAL, collaborating with Pia Baltazar!

Éva is a composer, new media artist and designer, focusing on performative sound architectures, live composition, and DIY robotic instruments. Her work explores sound, light, and space, drawing from classical, avant-garde, and psychedelic music. She is currently exploring new strategies for bringing partially automated robotic instruments into an orchestra as part of the ensemble, and how such an orchestra might be conducted.

Pía is an intermedia composer, researcher, and independent curator working at the intersection of interactive design, philosophy, and artistic production. Together, they are developing The Most Dangerous Games We (Might) Play, reloaded, collaboration on interaction design, and compositional strategies, based on the original version of Éva's former project.
