The Ars Electronica Festival 2019 will be held from Thursday, September 5, to Monday, September 9, 2019 at several locations in Linz – first and foremost at the POSTCITY close to the Linz Central Station. In 2019, Ars Electronica celebrates its 40th anniversary and, as always, looks to the future. In keeping with its title Out of the Box – the Midlife Crisis of the Digital Revolution, the festival embarks on an expedition to artistically and scientifically survey our modern world and its techno-economic influences, asking questions about our future prospects and options for action.

During the festival an EMAP group exhibition will take place at POSTCITY where the following EMAP artists will exhibit their residency work:

Clams, Marco Barotti (IT)
Online Culture Wars, DISNOVATION.ORG (FR/PL)
Speculative Artificial Intelligence, Birk Schmithüsen (DE)
The Eye of the Other, MAEID — Daniela Mitterberger (AT), Tiziano Derme (IT/AT)
The Hidden Life of an Amazon User, Joana Moll (ES)
TransPlant: May the Chlorophyll be with/in you*, Quimera Rosa (AR/ES/FR)

On 5th September 2019 2–3:30pm you are invited to join the Artist Walk with Quimera Rosa, who will introduce their work [TransPlant](http://ars.electronica.art/outofthebox/transplant/). Trans*Plant* is a transdisciplinary project that utilizes living systems and is based on self-experimentation: it is a process that involves a “human > plant” transition in various formats. The Expert Tour starts at POSTCITY, WE GUIDE YOU Meeting Point.
