A new chance to experience Compost as Superfood (2024) by Dr. masharu in collaboration with Sil Zeigarnik, Evy de Nijs, Emma Polman, and Sophia Komarov-Reinisch at Kersnikova Institute / Kapelica Gallery in Ljubljana, on view from 3 march to 24 April 2026.
Compost as Superfood (2024), developed as part of the EMAP residency programme 2024, extends this research through the creation of edible soil from compost, addressing questions of safety, ecology, and controlled production in food and biodesign.
Museum of Edible Earth brings together a global collection of edible soils and explores the cultural, historical, and sensory dimensions of geophagy. The archive includes over 600 samples from 44 countries and reflects on how soil consumption relates to environment, tradition, and taste.
