Wouter Moraal participates with his EMAP project Cativism in this year´s Worklab at mur.at in Graz. His workshop is called Archiving the future and treats the following questions: What future do you desire? And what can you creatively do to help steer towards that future?

In his workshop, participants will 'archive' the future, in order to encourage hopeful action. They will first chart out future scenarios for their field of work or interest. Then creatively use the change-making game Cativism to explore - through the eyes of cats - how to creatively move towards their brightest future.

For years the work-lab is a core format in the artistic research program of ‘mur.at’. Worklabs are “un-conferences” that can last for several days, to which people are invited to participate via a public open call. Work-labs create a temporary space in which artists (= specialists in the field of technology, design, art, etc.) and external guests can discuss topics from the field of digital technology, art and its social implications.
