Benedikt Terwiel in collaboration with ANOHNI

Benedikt Terwiel explores the technological and methodical developments that alter the production of land and its reproduction as images. He asks what cultural historical narratives they are associated with and how they can be reflected upon in his work.
An important reference for his practice are several long distant walks Terwiel undertook with his father from 2005 to 2012 throughout Europe. The last route aimed to researching “the natural human habitat” was supported by the Stiftung Kunstfonds Bonn. It lead 2012 from Berlin to Rotterdam where his EMAP project land before last will take place.
