"Where Dogs Run" is an artist collective formed in Yekaterinburg, Russia, currently based in Slovenia. The group's practice focuses on interdisciplinary research at the intersection of art, science, and technology. Their projects investigate alternative computing, artificial intelligence, chemical communication between biological and cybernetic agents, olfactory pollution, biometric and behavioral control systems, and the concept of free will. Through the creation of complex hybrid systems and immersive situations, the artists aim to expose the often-invisible psychological and social mechanisms that shape everyday life. These artistic environments strive to be futuristic and liberating, yet remain inherently tied to the shadow of historical and systemic realities. The group has collaborated with numerous international institutions, including: ZKM | Center for Art and Media Karlsruhe (Germany), Kersnikova Institute (Slovenia), Goethe-Institut (Germany, Russia), KIBLA Multimedia Center (Slovenia), KGLU – Art Gallery of Slovenj Gradec (Slovenia), Laznia Centre for Contemporary Art (Poland), M HKA – Museum of Contemporary Art Antwerp (Belgium) and others.
