T(n)C in collaboration with Madeline Hall

Agnes Varnai,

Tina Kult,

T(n)C was founded in 2017 by Agnes Varnai and Tina Kult. They live and work in Vienna and experiment with a wide range of media, including virtual reality, 3D, installation, film and fashion. By combining the different disciplines, they are researching immersive experiences to connect the digital and physical levels of realities. T(n)C believes in the power of joint efforts. Their aim is to expand the practices of collective storytelling with a collaborative approach. The works of the collective have been exhibited at various locations, such as Kunstraum Niederoesterreich (AT), projectcell36 (AT), WIENWOCHE (AT) or Art+Text (HU). They were also part of the Vienna Design Week, the Rencontres Internationales Paris/Berlin and the re;publica festival in Berlin. The fashion magazine Arachne dedicated a double page to the work ‘Glue in Reality’ in its first edition. Readers could download the GIR app to their device and point it at the magazine to discover a small AR world growing out of the pages.

Based in the North West of the UK, Madeline Hall is an artist, producer and DJ performing under the moniker M T Hall. With a focus on emotionally experimental electronic music, M T Hall’s background as a visual artist has translated into building dense sonic structures derived from her multidisciplinary approach and political praxis. While founded on a palette of field recordings, synthesis, instrumentation and computer processing, M T Hall's productions bleed into strange worlds beyond the dancefloor which draw on themes such as ecology, communality and emotional knowledge. Having developed a diverse portfolio of multi-disciplinary solo work, she has produced compositions and sound pieces for projects including Delia Derbyshire Day, Metal x Paradise Air x Samarbeta Artist Exchange, and Heart of Glass. She has also produced commission scores for artworks TripleFlex and RRR by Frances Disley, and the audio play The Retoucher on BBC Arts. M T Hall is a member of the collective Cartier 4 Everyone, hosting a monthly show on Melodic Distraction Radio and is resident experimentalist on Bidston Observatory Artistic Research Centre's artist-run online radio station Domes FM.
