Joana Patrão is a visual artist based in Porto. Her work revolves around landscape, recognizing it both as a consequence of the tensions between nature and culture and as a process for potential reunion. Her practice fluctuates between video, drawing, photography, and the use of natural materials and processes in the search for a mutable way of investigation in itself. As part of this research, she was awarded with the M.A. degree in Painting (2016) by the School of Fine Arts of the University of Porto, after graduating in Fine Arts in the same institution.
